endings are always so bittersweet! congrats on all that you have accomplished as a team, all that you have learned about yourselves through your journey, and all that you have taught to those along the way. when one door closes, another one opens. may there be many blessings behind that new door for each of you. best, s.

The video brought tears of sadness at having to say goodbye to a faithful friend who carried you safely to your destination.
Tears of joy for a mission completed with incredible moments to remember and friendships made to last a lifetime.
It’s good to know that Annie has a permanent home and a new mission…and that perhaps we can all visit her in Baton Rouge and recall her amazing voyage.
    Bon Voage

Barry and I had a great experience today when we picked up the boys at Buffalo airport, I’ve read a lot about the sadness of them all saying goodbye to Annie as they left her to rest in Baton Rouge a couple of days ago but the amazing feelings we had as Brett, Doug and Kyle came along the glass protection wall of gate #8 all decked out in their recently acquired used clothes. We were so proud as I know the other five crew members families are, because they where safe, unharmed and had just completed a successful but dangerous adventure. Barry and I were lucky to be able listen to some of their stories and experiences with out the blog or phone. I was fortunate to be able to listen to them when I drove Annie to the start of their great voyage and in my opinion this is not the end of the journey and it will be interesting to see how in my Kyle’s (Cliff) words the crew of seven will PAY IT ON.
