Walkin’ in Memphis

I could’ve spent weeks in Memphis; that city is alive and it has the most amazing vibe. Highlights – Civil Rights Museum, Beale street, live music lunch hour at a local cafe and some ribs at Rendezvous (thanks so much, Deb Jeffrey!).
Although I was sad to leave Memphis so soon, I’m in love with camping along the pristine sandy beaches that line the river – one of which is where we’ve made ourselves at home for the night.
This is just a quick update for now, but it’s the beginning of my attempt to write a little something everyday (pending adequate wireless coverage and battery power, of course).
Well, Brett is just starting to read us a chapter out of “Through Black Spruce” so until tomorrow, good night!

Glad to hear you arrived in Memphis safely and had a breather from the challenges of the Mississippi . We hope the “Bug” Tank has is short lived and limited to his space ..maybe he should go to the sick bay on your ship.. Hope all your encounters down river are good ones. (hello to R2D2 & watch out for the humidity)
